it's queer, strange, or maybe just WOW that this image has been recurring to me recently.

maybe it applies to everyone in life. the mountain as your obstacle, a constant struggle, fears, 'what ifs' and difficult times.. and you just know that after the climb, you're going to see the sun rising behind it. you're going to see God's plan in FULL GLORY.
then right now you only see the sunrays seeeeeping from behind that mountain. you feel it coming, but you're afraid. if you never cross the mountain, you're never going to see His full plan.
right now, this may be what it looks like (i couldn't find a picture of a snowstorm in a first person view but anyway..)

it's when you feel like you're alone, it's cold, dready.. frightening.. and uphill you climb
never giving up, never giving in
i mean, after all, no one can make you believe that you can't. no one but yourself.
and if God's plan is right behind that mountain, you're going to climb with all your heart, and SEEK HIM with all YOUR HEART just because.

when David met Goliath, they laughed. Of course, who in the right mind would face a giant with 5 pathetic stones and a sling!? you're obviously courting death. but the strength in that story isn't in the strength of david, but the strength of God in the weakness that david had, but the strength of FAITH he had. in physical means, what he had was little, but God can do anything.
so, peter WALKED on water. HE really did! and only when he doubted, he started to sink. i just highlighted the part 'but WHEN HE SAW THE WIND, HE WAS AFRAID and BEGINNING TO SINK'. He saw the circumstance, he saw the conditions and the difficulties that we as humans perceive as logical and physical. but in seeing that, His eyes weren't on Jesus anymore. then he sank cos he doubted. he doubted impossible by rationalising with the possible.
hahah ok i don't know why i typed that, and relax this isn't my prayer journal, but well.
not by might, not by power, but by the SPIRIT of GOD (:
