Seven Wonders of the World..........

A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present "Seven Wonders of the World."
Though there were some disagreements, the following received the most votes:

Taj Mahal
Egypt's Great Pyramids
Grand Canyon
Panama Canal
Empire State Building
St. Peter's Basilica
Great Wall China

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list.

The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many." The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help." The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the 'Seven Wonders of the World' are:

to see
to hear
to touch
to taste
to feel
to laugh
and to love."

The room was pin drop silence. The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for granted are truly wondrous! A gentle reminder -- that the most precious things in life cannot be built by hand or bought by man.

i'm unafraid to be seen as uncool. cos often those 'cool' people are the ones who crave so much what i already have. the things that are inside. the things that are inside can't be traded for so called 'cool friends'. neither do those pictures do justice to their friendships. if i want to pick my favourite photos, i choose the ones that not necessarily look gorgeous, with pretty and hot people all dressed up and attractive, i choose the photos with my best friends. i choose the photos with my family. with the poeple i love. i choose the ones with genuine care, laughter, love (:

if presents were placed under the christmas tree, i'd choose the present from my best friends again, no matter how small, no matter what it is. it could just be card, but heck, who wants a diamond necklace from someone who has never been there for you? sure, i think i'd rather sell it away. AHHA.

people, know who you are. know who you are in God. I know i am a child of GOd! and so are you (: and you and you and you! if you only acknowledge it. and trust me, it's a gift that frees you so much. and know, not only who you are, but next, WHO YOU LOVE and the ones who love you. know it full well, and don't waste your time and energy on fitting in with people who don't give a BLAH about you. hahaha. spend your time doing and spending time with the people who TRULY love you, and love you for WHO YOU ARE (: UNCONDITIONAL, not conditional.. not sometimes, not MAYBE? dont' waste time on those people that you need to double guess, need to think so hard over. sure, they're worth a bit i guess, but seriously, not as much.

life gets bigger, if you learn how to love. sometimes it REALLY is the simple things that keep you alive, and keep you going.

yeahyeah yeah i'm like a council addict, but the checkers game we played w the juniors really impacted me a lot. i remember how awful, how painful it felt to watch my friends suffer while jo and i were left in the playing field and were unable to do anything. i know we both held back our tears, we wanted the game to end, just QUICK END, let them win, and let it end, but you can't. we were training them.. so longer and longer it dragged, and they were all in pushup position for so long already. i don't remember what happened when the game ended but there was like this gush of emotion and flurry of activity on our side. tears, grief, relief, love. it's like the feeling of a parent watching her child suffer and wishing she could be the one suffering instead. think we felt like that- we each felt like we'd rather receive the torture, than watch our dear friends suffer.
